Welcome to California State University Dominguez Hills! As a valuable member of our employee team, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our campus. Our department strives to provide a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and faculty.

The CSUDH Police Department is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round. Our communications personnel are trained emergency dispatchers who answer the phones 24 hours a day. There is always a police officer on duty to respond to calls for assistance. I encourage you to learn more about our department by accessing our web page at www.csudh.edu/dhpd. Crime statistics for the last 3 years for our campus and adjacent areas surrounding our campus are also available on our website.

In addition to police services our department provides parking services. A valid parking permit must be displayed on all vehicles parked on campus. Daily parking permits are available from the yellow machines located inside some parking lots and on the perimeter roadway for $3.00 a day. Semester and annual permits are available from the Cashiers Office in Welch Hall. Payroll deduction is available. If you receive a parking ticket and wish to contest the ticket, you must initiate an Administrative Review. You can do this at the University Police Department in Small College A122 or at the Parking Office in Small College B145.

Escort service is available to our students, staff and faculty to/from on campus locations all hours of the day and night. We do not take advance requests. You need to contact us at x3639 or in-person at the police station.

For security purposes, all faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to obtain and carry proper CSUDH identification when on campus.

In case of medical or safety emergencies, you can summon the police by dialing 9-1-1 from pay phones and campus phones. These 9-1-1 calls route directly to our police station in Small College and are answered by our communications dispatchers. Emergency call boxes are located in our parking lots, elevators, and various locations on campus grounds.

We encourage our campus members to report any suspicious persons or circumstances. A truly safe campus can only be achieved through partnership with the community we serve.
