COURSE OBJECTIVES
- to define literature as an imaginative entity which underscores
the significance of the human condition by dealing the life, thought, and language of man;
- to identify and study some crucial strategies and techniques of literature;
- to analyze and interpret literary form and content through study of the ideas and
devices employed by selected artists in pursuit of their craft;
- to appreciate the fusion of writer and reader in their active and imaginative
collaboration;
- to regard the Self as metaphor in generating the relationship between a literary
creation and the critical reader.
