COURSE OBJECTIVES

Understand the set of values, methods and concepts that differentiate
philosophy from religion, poetry and science.
Understand the types of questions leading to the emergence of Greek
philosophy.
Understand the similarities and differences among the
various types of Greek philosophies.

LEARNING OUTCOME

Students will be able to read critically, write effectively about selections from primary texts, and write a substantive, thoughtful and well-organized research paper.
