The staff experts at the College of Extended & International Education can work with the sponsoring organization to develop training programs that meet the group’s needs. CSUDH faculty and staff are also available for short-term consulting both in the U.S. and abroad. Does California State University, Dominguez Hills arrange field
trips or internships?
Yes, our program coordinator can organize study tours and site visits for training groups. We draw upon the relationships of CSUDH faculty and local professionals to arrange for visitations to government agencies, companies, and communities. In addition, we can also organize internships and on-the-job training if the trainees have adequate English-language skills.
4. How long are

Our customized training courses can be as short as a few hours or as long as several months. Training courses also vary in length and subject depth.
5. What is the
maximum or minimum size of the group?
Training can be provided for individuals or groups up to about 15-30 in size (larger groups can also be accommodated, but they should be divided into different tracks to keep class sizes reasonable).

7. Can California

other than English?
The majority of lectures are conducted in English, with interpreters when necessary. However, California State University, Dominguez Hills has many faculty members fluent in other languages. Depending on the topic, training might be available in Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Japanese, Vietnamese, and other languages. When a faculty member with the necessary language ability is not available in the necessary discipline, California State University, Dominguez Hills can provide interpreters for the training program with additional costs.
8. Can English-language
training be paired with discipline-specific training?
Yes. We often organize these sorts of programs, with English language training part of the day or part of the week, and discipline-specific training the remainder of the time. The English-language training can be adapted to include specific vocabulary and concepts relevant to the skills being studied. 9. What is the
cost for California State University, Dominguez Hills training program?
It is difficult to provide a price quotation for the customized training programs. Program price is based on many factors including: length of the training, size of the group, the topics, whether field trips and other off-campus activities are requested, whether translation is requested, and whether technical classrooms or laboratories are required. The training fee typically covers trainer pay and benefits, classroom space, materials, field trip transportation and guides, translation (if necessary), and coordination costs. State University, Dominguez Hills organize cultural excursions for
California State University, Dominguez Hills can organize cultural excursions for training groups if desired. Cultural excursions can be tailored to the client’s wishes. Popular itineraries include: Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Santa Monica area; a tour of ethnic Los Angeles; the Getty Museum; Disneyland; Universal Studies; Long Beach; Pasadena, the Norton Simon Museum, and the Huntington Gardens; downtown Los Angeles; Huntington or Newport Beaches and Orange County; and the Gene Autry Museum of Western Culture. Cultural excursions do incur a cost in addition to the training fee to cover transportation and guide costs.

information about public transportation in Los Angeles?
Public transportation around Los Angeles is very extensive and efficient. California State University, Dominguez Hills campus is conveniently located in the South Bay Area which is close to all major freeways, LAX, beaches, and minutes away from downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. 12. What options
are there for housing accommodation at California State University,
Housing options vary based on time of year and the budget of the training groups. For long-term arrangements, the University Housing would be the best option. For short-term programs, the best time for housing accommodation is during the summer months. 13. Can California
State University, Dominguez Hills handle airport pickup?
For training groups, we can arrange private bus pickup or make Airport shuttle arrangements. For individuals, we recommend airport shuttles as the most cost-effective means of getting from the airport to the CSUDH campus. From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Airport shuttle costs approximately $25 for an individual and $100 for an exclusive van (holding up to 7 individuals). Taxi cab fare from LAX is approximately $50.

California State University, Dominguez Hills is one of 23 campuses of the California State University system. CSU is the largest institution of higher education in the United States, with more than 380,000 students. The CSU is dedicated to comprehensive undergraduate and master’s level education, with an emphasis on teaching rather than research. CSU Dominguez Hills enrolls over 12,000 students. Our campus is made up of the College of Business Administration and Public Policy, College of Education, College of Extended and International Education, College of Health and Human Services, College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. The University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges; individual Colleges and Schools are accredited by the governing bodies for their subject areas.
The University offers 44 undergraduate majors, 25 master's degrees and a number of certificate and credential programs. The top three undergraduate majors are Business Administration, Liberal Studies (teacher education program) and Nursing.
