CIO's Update

Greetings! I hope that you had a wonderful summer break. There has been a lot of activity in the Information Technology arena this summer. I want to take the time in this article to discuss some of the updates that IT has been working on that will hopefully make your jobs a bit easier and exciting in the upcoming months. Meet Danny Lujan

It’s hard to believe that Lynn Anderson retired after only 34 years at CSUDH, but she did just that, and her able replacement, Danny Lujan, joined Information Technology in July. The new title of Danny’s organization is Network, Telecommunications Services and Help Desk (NTSHD). Read about Danny and the new NTSHD in Meet Danny Lujan.

Instructional Technology: Transformation to Digital Media Distribution

The Instructional Technology Department has a multitude of projects underway to increase the capture and distribution of instructional media in digital format at CSUDH. Legacy media artifacts require electro-mechanical equipment that is rapidly degrading and is no longer being manufactured and sold. Legacy material also requires literally thousands of deliveries of smart carts to classrooms each year on the CSUDH campus.
