Banner Accounts
If you are a member of the CSUDH faculty or staff who requires access to the Banner database, follow these steps to gain that access.
- Contact the AIS office, WH 380 or (310) 243-3702, to get a copy of the Banner Account Request Form.
- Agree to the Banner Confidentiality Provision and the network policies of CSUDH and AIS, outlined on page 2 of the form.
- Fill out the form. Sign it and get it signed by your authorized department head or dean.
- Bring or mail the signed form to AIS at WH 380, or fax the completed form to (310) 516-3877.
- Note: Most users will access Internet Native Banner with Microsoft's Internet Explorer. (See Accessing Banner with Internet Explorer.) However, Unix users will need client software to be installed on your computers to enable your access to Banner. This a one-time installation. If you are using a shared computer and others can access Banner on this computer, you will not need to install the software again. If your PC required setup in order to access Banner, your department computer support person or an IT Help Desk technician can install the software on your computer.
- Note: Your Banner username will have the prefix ops$, e.g., ops$jlyons.
- To access the Internet-based Faculty Web (a.k.a., toroWeb for Faculty & Advisors), the only software you need on your PC is an Internet browser: Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator.
