The annual President’s Scholarship Reception was held Thursday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dominguez Ballroom in the Loker Student Union on campus. More than 150 guests attended and CSU Dominguez Hills honored eight high-achieving students with the premier scholarship, the Presidential Scholarship, a full scholarship awarded to graduating high school students and community college transfer students.

Retired Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke, a long-time advocate of higher education, was this year’s Katherine B. Loker Friend of Education honoree, and Verizon was the recipient of the Corporate Partner of the Year award, honoring the company’s consistent support of CSU Dominguez Hills programs.
More than $150,000 was raised for the President’s Scholarship Fund from sponsors and donors.
