TEMPORARY TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE U.S.A.

You may be traveling outside the USA sometime during your stay at CSUDH. To return to the USA to resume your studies you must have the following documents:

Your F-1 visa is stamped in your passport at an American Consulate abroad. It specifies the expiration date (the last date you may enter the USA on that visa) and notes whether your visa is valid for one entry or multiple entries into the USA. If you were granted only one entry, you will need a new visa stamp if you leave the USA. It must be renewed at an American Consulate in your home country ( you cannot go to a third country to renew your visa stamp).

If you are leaving the USA you will be asked to give your I-94 card to immigration authorities upon departure. Due to global geographic and political problems when traveling, the ISSO cannot be responsible for any delay by government officials in your returning to the USA. Once the ISSO has validated your travel permit, you and your family travel outside of the USA at your own risk.
