Definition
A sport club is a student organization voluntarily organized by students who are motivated by a common interest in expanding their proficiency, participation, and competition in a specific sport or recreational activity.
Objectives
The Sport clubs program is designed to provide participants the following opportunities:
- To provide opportunities complementing and enhancing participant’s educational experience.
- To develop individual potential in a given sport or activity and contribute to an individual’s physical and mental fitness.
- To develop a sense of camaraderie and understanding between individuals and groups through sport and recreational activity.
- To participate in structured competition in a given sport or activity with other colleges, universities, and amateur clubs.
- To develop leadership skills.
- To develop organizational and administrative skills including: program planning, delegation of responsibility and authority; fund raising, financial management, and public relations.
