Prerequisites

MAT 009 or equivalent.

Grading Policy, Schedule of Exams

Students' grades are based on homework, tests, and a final exam.

Homework= 16% of grade
3 midterms= 54% of grade (18% each)
Final exam= 30% of grade

Attendance Requirements

I don't require attendance but you are paying for this so why not take advantage of that and come to class? People who don't come to class usually fail -- please don't let that happen to you!

Policy on Due Dates and Make-Up Work

I generally do not give make up tests or assignments. Students have the responsibility to arrange to do their work on time.

After completing MAT 153 the student should be able to

Students should be able to demonstrate through written assignments, tests, and/or oral presentations, that they have achieved the objectives of MAT 153.

Method of Evaluating Outcomes

Evaluations are based on homework, class participation, short tests and scheduled examinations covering students' understanding of topics covered in MAT 153.
