1.Completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited
institution with an upper division major in nursing (BSN)
and NLN accredited nursing program or the equivalent as determined
by the Student Affairs Committee.**
2. Overall grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale)
or higher in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted,
or demonstrated academic ability as required by the faculty,
following an appeal process.
3. Current licensure in the United States. Personal professional
liability insurance is required prior to enrolling in a
nursing performance course.
4. As indicated in the Admission Application, send an official
transcript to Admissions and Records and request a copy
be sent directly to you. See How to Begin.
5. The Graduation Writing Examination (GWE) must be met
prior to OR during the first semester of coursework.
Registered nurses who have earned a bachelor's degree in
another field (non-nursing) may be eligible for the BA/BS
Pathway to the MSN degree. All potential Pathway students
must attend a special MSN Pathway Program Workshop.
