Degree Requirements
PriorS to the completion of MSN 592 Advanced Nursing
Research, the graduate student must request one of the following
culminating experiences:
Alternative I: Coursework and Thesis or
Directed Project (33-56 units)
1. Complete approved program with a minimum of 33 units of
coursework depending on role option with at least a 3.70 GPA
for Thesis and 3.50 GPA for Directed Project.
2. Complete approved thesis or directed project (3 units).

Alternative II: Coursework and Examination
(33-56 units)
1. Complete an approved program of 33-53 units of coursework
(depending on role option) with at least a "B" 3.0)
average (including core courses).*
2. Pass a comprehensive written examination. After completion
of all coursework, the student may apply to take the comphrensive
