INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING ONLINE COURSES
Welcome to California State University, Dominguez Hills!
This is to confirm that you have been registered for your
courses.
You have enrolled in an online course that uses the Blackboard
Learning Management System. Every student enrolled in an CSUDH
course will have a portal with links to their course websites.
You can access Blackboard with a PC or a Mac.
Blackboard works best with any one of the following browsers:
* Firefox 0.8 or better (highly recommended alternative to
Internet Explorer)
* Safari 1.2 or better (for Mac)
* Netscape 7 or better
* Mozilla 1.4 or better
* Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or better
IIE dominates the browser market, but it is vulnerable to
security attacks; if you use IE, be sure to update your security
patches.
IIf you have an outdated browser or use a browser not supported
by Blackboard, you will need to upgrade or change browsers
(there may be browsers we have not listed which are perfectly
compatible with Blackboard).
Note: Blackboard does not support any of the current AOL browsers.
While you may continue to connect to the internet with AOL,
we strongly urge you NOT to use the AOL browser for Blackboard.
Instead, we recommend you use one of the choices above.
To access Blackboard, go to http://toro.csudh.edu and follow
the directions. Your user name is same Your password should
be your date of birth (6 digits – no spaces, no hyphens
mmddyy). Be sure to supply your date of birth when you register.
When you reach your Blackboard portal (Welcome "your
first name") and click on the Courses tab at the top
of the page, you will find links to the websites for your
courses. If you cannot log on to Blackboard, click on the
link at the top of log in site, http://toro.csudh.edu, that
says "password not working?" and fill out the form
that will appear on your screen.
IIt will take 48 hours after you register and pay your fees
for the database to update your information and give you access
to Blackboard.
