How can I find out when my password will expire?

If you can remember the date or approximate date that you last changed your password, you can
    click on this link: pwdexpire
If you have no idea, you can submit a helpdesk ticket to request the

exact date.  When you change your password through http://dhnet.csudh.edu, after successfully
changing your password, you will be given the date that your password will expire.  Please place a
password expiration reminder in your Outlook calendar a couple of days prior to that date.

What is my mailbox quota?

The default maximum size of your campus mailbox is 200MB.  If you find that you need more space,
you can submit a helpdesk ticket to increase your quota to 500MB.

How do I know how much of my quota is being used?

In the full Outlook client, right click on the name of your mailbox (displayed at the top of the folder list),
select Properties of "your name" at the bottom of the selection window
.  At the bottom left of the
Properties window, click on the Folder Size button.  For Outlook 2003 users, you can scroll to the bottom
of the folder list and select folder sizes.

All of my mail is important and I don't want to erase any of it, what can I do?

You have the ability in Outlook to archive your older messages.  This will remove it from your working
mailbox, but store a copy in an archive repository
.  Your archives can reside on either your local hard
drive - but be sure to back it up - or in your home directory on the IT file server, which is backed up daily.
Archives are searchable and accessible in your Outlook, so you can find the message that you need.
Another alternative is to create a .pst file.  This will create a "snapshot" of your entire mailbox or whichever
section you wish to capture.  This file can be mounted and searched in Outlook and can be copied like
any other file.  The IT Helpdesk can help you with detailed instructions on creating archives and pst files.
