Is enrollment in the program limited?
Yes. Due to the limited laboratory space, only 16 students can be accommodated in each class during clinical instruction in the last six months of the prosthetics option sequence.Where is the program located?
After acceptance in the Prosthetic Option, the first 3 semesters are on campus at CSUDH.
The final 6 months of the program are conducted in a new, state of the art laboratory housed at OSSUR, North America in Aliso Viejo, CA.Do I need to fill out a separate application for the Prosthetics Option?
Yes, in addition to an application to CSUDH, students must also apply directly to the O&P program. Applications are available online every May. After you have been admitted to the Option, you will need to apply for the clinical (off-campus) portion of the program. This will be done at the beginning of the third semester.
Due to limited space, admission to the option is not ensured by meeting the University admission requirements, not does admission to CSUDH as a Health Science major guarantee acceptance into the option.Are there specific prerequisites to be admitted into the program?

Students are also required to have at least 100 hours of prosthetic experience to be accepted into the option. Additionally, you will need 350 hours of experience before you can begin the clinical portion of the program which is conducted at the off-campus facility in Aliso Viejo.How long does it take to complete the program?
After admission, the BS Degree in Health Science, Prosthetics Option takes two full years, which includes a required 250 hour clinical rotation.When are courses offered?
Bachelor of Science courses are offered starting in Fall each year.
The final six months of clinical training occur off site in Orange County, CA.Is financial aid available through the University?
