We appreciate your interest in our Bachelor's Degree in Health Science Prosthetic Option at California State University Dominguez Hills. This practitioner level program requires two full years at CSUDH to complete, and it is designed to produce professional level graduates with a baccalaureate degree. After graduation, you will be qualified to sit for the National Boards in Prosthetics after one year of supervised clinical experience in an NCOPE accredited residency.
Admission to the Prosthetic Option involves two steps: First an applicant must meet the admission standards of the University, and second, the applicant must meet the special criteria for admission to the Prosthetic Option. Our program begins each fall; the next class will begin in August 27, 2007. The Prosthetics Clinical Option applications will be available online at this website in April 2007, and are due in June 2007. The Program is a 3+1 baccalaureate degree, where undergraduate students attend their first 3 years of college in general education, prerequisite, and selected didactic (lecture) courses, and complete their final year immersed in clinical training in prosthetics at the off-site facility residing at Ossur. Please do not let this future date discourage you from getting prepared by completing all the prerequisites for the program.
