Prerequisites and course content for the Orthotics and Prosthetics Option will adhere to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program for the Orthotist and Prosthetist, developed by NCOPE in 1993. Certain prerequisites may be taken concurrently with consent of the Director of O&P and the Chair of the Health Science Department.

Past working or volunteer experience in the field is also an important selection criteria.

Biology	Minimum 3 units
Chemistry	Minimum 3 units
Physics	Minimum 3 units
Psychology	Minimum 3 units
Statistic and Probability	Minimum 3 units
Algebra or Higher Math	Minimum 3 units
Human Anatomy and Physiology (with lab)	Minimum 6 units
