NSSE
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE, pronounced "nessie") surveys first-year and senior students at participating colleges and universities on a range of topics, such as classroom experiences, level of interaction with peers and faculty, the nature of coursework, and self-assessment of their educational development. An extensive research literature relates these topics, particular classroom activities and specific faculty and peer practices, to high-quality undergraduate outcomes. NSSE results identify various experiences in teaching and learning at CSU, Dominguez Hills and allow benchmarking against groups of institutions that share similar missions and characteristics.
