Course Description:

This curriculum is designed for individuals who work within the healthcare environment, and will focus on emergency management and disaster scenarios within that environment. This course will also evaluate The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation requirements for emergency management and disaster preparedness.

Targeted Audience:

Individuals responsible for overseeing safety in industries such as: Construction, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Maritime and General Industry.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Describe Internal and External Disaster Scenarios within the Healthcare Environment
  2. Perform a Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA)
  3. Identify Mass Casualties Response Systems
  4. Identify Mass Decontamination Response Systems
  5. Describe Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)
