Schedule
Get an overview of electrical installations and equipment
with emphasis on controlling electrical hazards by the application
of OSHA standards and the National Electrical Code. Participate
in an electrical lab.
Required Prerequisite: Students are required to complete
the OSHA Standards for General Industry (OSHA 511) or the
Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards
for General Industry (OSHA 501) prior to taking this course.
This is a difficult and technical course and requires electrical
knowledge.
When you complete this course you will be able to:
• Locate correct OSHA electrical standards
• Define terms relating to OSHA electrical hazards in
the workplace
• Describe appropriate abatement procedures for selected
electrical safety hazards
You will take home:
• A detailed work manual. After the course, it becomes
a valuable reference to help you implement the skills learned
from this course.
