Scholarships

Obtained through the OT Department

  1. Hand Therapy Society Scholarship
    One $1000 scholarship is awarded per year. Applications are available through the OT Department.
  2. LAUSD Scholarships
    Five $5000 scholarships awarded per year through Los Angeles Unified School District. Students are eligible for this award during fieldwork.

Obtained through CSUDH

  1. California State University, Dominguez Hills Alumni Scholarship
    Awarded to a full-time undergraduate and graduate. $2000 scholarship is awarded per year.
  2. CSUDH Faculty/Staff Scholarship
    Amount varies. Awarded to a full-time CSUDH undergraduate, credential or graduate student. Graduate student must have at least 8 units. A minimum of 3.0 GPA required, and must demonstrate school and community involvement.
  3. Graduate Equity Fellowships
    Up to $5600. Awarded by the CSUDH Graduate Studies Office to graduate students with strong academic records and financial need; renewable for two years. Must be accepted into a CSUDH graduate program, have a faculty sponsor, and commit to a research project.
  4. Jamina O. Barnes Memorial Scholarship
    Starts at $500. Awarded by the CSUDH Alumni Association to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student. Must be enrolled full-time at CSUDH (semester will be listed on website). Graduate students must have at least 8 units, and minimum of 3.0 GPA.
  5. Leo F. and Margaret B. Cain-Emeritus Faculty Association Scholarship
    $1000-$2500. Awarded to an outstanding CSUDH undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at CSUDH pursuing a degree in a public service field. Must demonstrate excellent academic performance and career commitments to teaching or academic research educational administration, or other types of public service. Preference is given to full-time graduate students.

Obtained through AfterCollege OT Career Network

  1. AfterCollege Succurro Scholarship
    Awarded to currently enrolled students in an accredited program, working toward a degree in (AA,AS,BA,BS,MA,MS, MFA, PhD, MD, JD, etc.) in any discipline.
