2007 Phi Kappa Phi Initiation Ceremony

 

The CSU Dominguez Hills Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 241 will hold its annual initiation ceremony on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 4 p.m. in the new Loker Student Union ballroom.  Over 150 students, faculty, professional staff, administrators, and alumni will be initiated, and joined by over 300 guests, members, friends, and family.  Scholarship winners will be announced. 

All initiates should plan to arrive by 3:30 pm.  Business dress is required.  A reception will follow the ceremony.Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest, largest, and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines, and membership is by invitation only. 

Student membership is based on superior scholastic achievement as measured by earned GPA, and is limited to the upper 7.5% of juniors and 10% of seniors and graduate students.  It is the only honor society at CSU Dominguez Hills that recognizes and promotes scholarly achievement in all majors and disciplines in the university.

The CSU Dominguez Hills chapter, chartered in 1984, also selects outstanding administrators, faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have made significant and ongoing contributions to the university and the community.
