Statement on Government of Colleges and Universities

 

On January 18, 1977, the Senate endorsed the AAUP Statement on Government of Colleges and Universities.  The Senate also included in its resolution a provision that the Statement be included in the Faculty Handbook.  I concur with the endorsement of the AAUP Statement; however, because of its length, the Faculty Handbook will include only an indication of support and a notice that a copy is available on the Education/Governance Information Shelf in the Library.
