Full-Time Lecturers—Appointment and Review

On March 15, 1977, the Senate adopted, and I approve, a resolution changing the college policy on full-time lecturers. Effective Fall Quarter 1977, full-time lecturers may be appointed for a third consecutive year under ordinary circumstances and for a fourth consecutive year under exceptional circumstances.

The Senate has also recommended that a procedure be established for an RTP review of full-time lecturers; and I am hopeful that the Senate will be able to accomplish this by the end of the academic year.
