CURRENT AND NOTABLE RESEARCH

Larry D. Rosen, Ph.D.

At the present time, my colleagues and I are working on the following research projects:

This study examines the amount and impact of multitasking in children, adolescents, and adults.  In addition, we are investigating the impact of multitasking and the use of language shortcuts such as acronyms (LOL) and the removal of apostrophes (dont) on English literacy (expressive and receptive).

This study examines whether adults prefer expert advice over peer advice on issues of book purchases, medical information, hotel reservations, technology purchases, etc.

This study is an attempt to replicate the Cherry studies in the 1950s that showed how adults lack the ability to attend to two messages presented simultaneously in different ears.

My colleagues and I have completed the following studies over the past few years. Click on any study name to see a summary and discussion of the results including tables and figures. We welcome your feedback. Please e-mail me with any comments that you might have.
