Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must demonstrate a strong desire
to pursue a career in psychology
- Must be available to spend 5-8
hours per week on research
- Must be available on Fridays or
be able to attend occasional meetings on Fridays, as this is when most
program functions will take place
- African-American,
Asian-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, or Pacific Islander
students are eligible for funding
- Any major is eligible
to
apply!
To apply for the APA/NIGMS program,
you need to do the following:
- Write a one-page TYPED
personal statement about why you are interested in psychology, why you
would like to participate in the APA/NIGMS Program, your plans for
graduate education, your future career goals, and any significant
obstacles you have overcome in life.
- Fill out the application,
which is available by clicking here.
- Please return the completed
application to the Psychology Department office, SBS A336.
