(5/01) Juan Madera presented his project--"The Influence of Victim's Attire, Participant's Gender, and Knowing a Rape Victim on Blame Attribution"--at the Western Psychological Association Annual Meeting in Maui, Hawaii. His Faculty Mentor is Dr. Lisa Gray-Shellberg.

(4/01) Congratulations to our students and former students accepted into advanced degree programs in Psychology! Kistyn Gritney (current Scholar) was accepted to the PhD Program at Claremont Graduate School. Denise Kennedy (former graduate assistant) was accepted to the Applied Developmental Psychology PhD Program at Fordham University. Eunice Thomas (former Scholar) was accepted to the MSW Program at UCLA.
(3/13/01) Five Scholars were selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. They are: Kistyn Gritney, Juan Madera, Alejandro Morales, Monica Rosales, and Karen Vargas.
(3/6/01) Juan Madera's project was chosen to be part of the Fifth Annual Student Research Conference at CSUDH through a competitive selection process. Further, he was selected to represent our campus at the Annual CSU Student Research Competition to be held at San Jose State University April 27 - 28. Juan's Faculty Mentor is Dr. Lisa Gray-Shellberg from the Psychology Department. Congratulations!
(3/8/01) Alejandro Morales' project was chosen to be part of the Spotlight on Research -- Second Annual Research Competition in the CSUDH Honors Program through a competitive selection process. Alejandro won 2nd place in the competition! Alejandro's Faculty Mentor was Dr. Timothy W. Smith at the University of Utah Psychology Department during a summer research program. Congratulations!
