The CSU Dominguez Hills Office of the President is pleased to announce the 2013 Staff Awards of Excellence program. Our staff plays a vital role in the success of the university and the accomplishment of our mission. This program recognizes university staff in general, and three specific staff members who have gone above and beyond their normal job responsibilities to improve our campus community.
Three categories of awards have been created that recognize exemplary service that supports the goals and objectives in the university’s five year strategic plan. There will be one winner per category:
- Exemplary Achievement Award
- Outstanding Education Support Award
- Excellence in Customer Service Award
Award recipients will each receive $1,000, a plaque, a reception for the winning staff member’s department, two tickets for each winner to attend a soccer game in the President’s suite at the StubHub Center, and a story about the winners in Dateline Dominguez.
Any employee can nominate a staff member for the awards, but only eligible staff will be considered. The annual program will cover each fiscal year from July 1 through June 30. Nominations must be submitted to the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee no later than 5:00 pm on August 16, 2013. See Nomination Guidelines for more information and to download a nomination form.
Staff Awards and Recognition Ceremony
Award recipients will be announced at the Staff Awards and Recognition Ceremony on September 26, 2013.
Staff Awards and Recognition Committee
The program will be run by a committee of staff members selected and invited based on recommendation from both the division vice presidents and Human Resources Management. The committee will review the approved applications and submit their recommendations to the university president who shall make the final selections.
