Dr. Mary Lou Cappel and her freshman SBS 101 Personal, Social and Intellectual Development helped donate items for the Associated Students, Inc. Out of the Closet project last Spring.

California State University, Dominguez Hills strives daily to connect outside its campus borders to the surrounding community in the Southern California region. "Communiversity" is a word President James E. Lyons Sr. has coined to show our commitment in the community. Our commitment is written in our mission statement: "We promote partnerships that connect us to the communities we serve through our commitment to principles of economic, civic, and social responsibility."
