3yr Part Time Ext Ed Program

Cal State University Dominguez Hills’ part-time Master of Social Work (MSW) program is designed for working professionals. This 3-year program is offered through the University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) and is accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE). The program is 60-credit hours in length with classes scheduled during fall, spring, and summer terms. Classes take place during one weeknight evening and every other Saturday, with a few exceptions. All classes are held on campus. We do not currently offer an online program, nor do we offer any online courses as part of our curriculum.

The curriculum, faculty, and academic advisement for the 3-year, Part time program is managed by the CSUDH Department of Social Work. However, CEIE administers the program, handling registration and collection of fees. Nonetheless, the same accredited degree is awarded. The 3-year program is a self-support degree program (not funded by state tax revenue). Therefore, the tuition reflects a slightly higher rate than similar programs held on the CSUDH campus. Please contact: CCPE for information regarding current tuition rates for the 3-year, part-time MSW program and contact: Financial Aid for questions regarding financial Assistance.
