Infusing Technology into Instruction

A California State University Dominguez Hills PT3 Project

The web contains a huge number of sites with lesson plans in all instructional areas. As is common with resources on the web...there are now too many sites with too many lesson plans. Since these lessons are usually not juried or linked to specific standards...finding good lessons can be overwhelming. We have tried to make it easier for you to identify relevant lesson plans. We have attempted to do this by linking lessons with standards and subject matter areas. To use these resources, follow these three steps:

1. Click and hold the <SELECT A GRADE> button below, drag the mouse down to select a grade of interest.

2. Select the standards you would like to reference. We have included several sets of references:

California Standards - We have included California standards for two reasons...California has always been one of the trend setting states and we live in California.

State-by-State Standards - For people living who do not live in California and miss our bad air and traffic...we have provided a way for you to find your own state's standards.

National/Organizational Content Standards - These are the standards for each academic discipline, regardless of geographic area.

Related ISTE Standards and Activities - The International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) has developed two sets of educational standards. One set of standards is set for teachers and the other for students. These links are for the student standards. They show the technology expectations for students by grade level. Accompanying these standards are sample lessons for each standard.

3. Select one of the Standards-Based Lessons - These are links to lessons for each grade level, by subject area, that meet the above standards.

Use this pull-down menu to select your grade and locate links to California, national and ISTE standards, and standards-based lesson plans.
