PACE/LBS (Weekend) Option

Students admitted into the PACE/LBS Option complete the Liberal Studies B.A. degree. The option is open to all students meeting the following requirements: 2.67 cumulative GPA, all lower division General Education (GE) courses completed, and all lower division Liberal Studies Major courses completed. Courses used to satisfy LBS requirements must be passed with a grade of “C” or better. Courses used to fulfill GE requirements that double count in the major must also be passed with a grade of “C” or better. 

The option’s pre-arranged curriculum is scheduled to accommodate students unable to attend classes during the week. Weekend Option classes will normally be scheduled on Saturday and Sunday each week, however, occasionally, it may be necessary to schedule one or more classes late afternoon and/or evening on a Friday. The cohort format provides students with the opportunity to earn a Liberal Studies degree without worrying about class availability. Participants also attend classes with the same classmates throughout their academic career. This provides the opportunity to form close associations for forming study groups, keeping current on missed classroom assignments, sharing information, and networking with fellow classmates.
