1. Submit on-line application with official transcripts for admission to the university.
2. Submit an application to the College of education Applications unit with the following information:

a. Unofficial transcripts verifying baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university with a 2.75 gpa.
If the gpa is below 2.5, entrance to the program will be considered by the Exceptions Committee with a
combined GRE score of 800 or a 600 verbal;

b. Verification of passing CBEST scores;

c. Verification of full-time teaching position in special education;

d. Verification of subject matter competence in one of the following ways;
_____ Multiple Subject CSET
_____ Single Subject CSET
_____ Single Subject Coursework Waiver

e. Completion of the United States Constitution requirement by test or course with a grade of C or better;

f. Three letters of professional reference, and attendance at a Special Education orientation.

Applicant will receive letters of acceptance from both the University and the Teacher Education Department. The candidate will submit a separate intern application with the CSUDH credential analysts. The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing will issue the education Specialist Special education Intern Credential.
