The College
of Health and Human Services is committed to enhancing the health of
the human population through an interdisciplinary preparation of health
professionals who can deliver quality and comprehensive health services
within a multiethnic, multicultural society in a caring manner. The
College promotes a global vision embracing the highest attainable level
of health as a fundamental right and health and human ecology as a conceptual
framework that integrates and harmonizes its various academic programs
in service of the community. The academic programs are designed to enable
graduates to work as an efficient team providing competency based health
care that enhances the physical, psychological, social and environmental
wellbeing of the communities they serve and to promote sound public
health care policy. The College of Health and Human Services applies
its resources and the expertise of the faculty and staff in education,
research, technology support and community services as tools to achieve
these goals and in support of the overall mission of the California
State University, Dominguez Hills.
