Ellen Hope Kearns, MS, PhD, SH (ASCP) H

Dr. Ellen Hope Kearns has over 20 years of clinical and research experience in the areas of clinical sciences, health sciences, and international allied health education. She is currently a tenured, full professor and graduate coordinator in the Division of Health Sciences, College of Health and Human Services at CSUDH. Her research and special interests focus on higher education in laboratory sciences, student exchanges, and distance education. She has published and presented on these topics at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

Ellen has served in leadership positions for professional societies/organizations such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Registry’s Globalization Task Force; National Coalition for Allied Health Leadership; International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences’ Chief U.S. Delegate to 26th World Congress in Sweden; Alpha Eta Honor Society Board of Directors; and North American Consortium of Nursing and Allied Health Board of Directors. She is listed in the millennium editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Funded through the US Department of Education division, Funding for The Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), and its program on European Community (EC)/United States of America Cooperation.
