ROSE AGUILAR WELCH, RN, EdD
Title: Professor

INTRODUCTION
Dr. Welch's favorite quotation is "knowledge is power", because she believes that the path to professional autonomy is education. She stresses, " the path students follow in pursuing their educational goals must be built on the highest principles of academic integrity". 
TEACHING INTERESTS
Although Dr. Welch teaches several courses in the undergraduate nursing program, she prefers teaching the beginning courses to assist entering students in reintegrating into the academic environment. She is particularly interested in assisting students achieve the necessary technological competence for participating in online courses and is the course content expert for BSN 301: Technology for the Information Age. 
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Welch's primary research interests are in the areas of online course evaluation, specifically student success, satisfaction and outcomes based on course delivery methods. She is currently collaborating with Dr. Goss on a project examining outcomes and evaluation of a role performance course.
