What is Spring Intersession?
Spring Intersession is defined as special session that begins after spring commencement, but prior to the end of the official academic calendar (May 24th) and ends in June but no later than June 30. Courses are accelerated and may vary in length from three to six weeks.

Who can attend Spring Intersession?
Spring Intersession is open to all CSUDH students, prospective students, students from other colleges and universities, and interested individuals from the community. There is no separate application or admission process required. Please note that if you are not already a CSUDH student, registration in a Spring Intersession course does not constitute admission to the University.

Can I attend Spring Intersession if I am a high school student?
High school students are welcome to attend as long as an official Letter of Recommendation from the high school principal or counselor accompanies the registration.

Will Spring Intersession courses count toward my degree?
Spring Intersession courses are regular University courses and carry residence credit, i.e, Spring Intersession courses may be used for your degree.

How many courses may I take in the Spring Intersession?
We recommend that students take no more than the equivalent of one unit per week or six units for the entire Spring Intersession.

 

How do I register for the Spring Intersession?
All registration options are available for CSUDH students—Touchtone, ToroWeb, FAX, mail, telephone, and in person. If you have never attended CSUDH before, you may register by FAX, mail, telephone, or in person. Go to the registration page for further information.

How much does Spring Intersession cost?
The Spring Intersession is separate from the regular Spring semester and /or Summer terms and students must pay additional fees. Spring Intersession fees are $165 per unit unless otherwise indicated.

Is Financial Aid available?
Financial aid may be available for students depending upon their remaining eligibility. Students should contact the financial aid office at http://www.csudh.edu/fin_aid. The College of Extended and International Education will work with you to create a payment plan customized to your financial situation.

Can I drop my classes and receive a refund?
Prior to the first day of the Spring Intersession students may drop a course with a 100% refund less $10 processing fee. Please refer to the approved College refund policy for information concerning drops which occur after classes have started.

May I count Spring Intersession courses toward spring graduation?
No, units earned in the Spring Intersession may not be used toward the spring graduation date.
