Graduating? Looking for a career position or internship? In a challenged job market, preparation is key. Here are four "must have's" for your job search toolkit.

  4. Record a practice interview on Interview Stream and schedule a counselor review.

Invest five hours in your future to help you get the job you want after you graduate! Career services are available for free for six months following graduation. After the grace period, fees apply.

Writing a Winning Resume, Part II -- Action (Prerequisite: Attend Part I)

Compose your resume in our lab. Counselors will be on hand to help you write compelling copy and advise you on the best format for your career needs. Bring existing draft copy on a USB flash drive. Laptops and printers will be provided.

Job Club

Graduating Seniors/Recent Alumni:
Are you having trouble finding a job in this challenging economy? Would you like new ideas and support from career counselors and other students experiencing the same problems and frustrations?

The Career Center will be forming a Job Club - a 4 week group that will meet on Tuesdays, April 3, 10, 17, and April 24 from 1 pm - 2 pm in the Career Center, Welch Hall 360. We would appreciate your committing to all 4 sessions. The group is open to seniors/graduate students who graduated spring 2011 or will graduate in summer 2011.  Take advantage of this great opportunity to stay motivated, learn new ideas, network, and share job search concerns with career counselors and classmates.

The requirements to join are as follows:

  1. You are able to commit to 4 consecutive weekly sessions (April 3, 10, 17, and April 24 from 1 pm - 2 pm)
  2. You will graduate in Spring 2012 (Graduating means all coursework for your major is completed)
  3. You are actively seeking a full-time career position in your field of study
  4. You are willing to be a participant in a group to give and receive feedback from peers and career counselors
