Fall 2009 Update
Financial Aid Checks
Fall 2009 financial aid balance checks are scheduled to be mailed during the first week of classes (August 31 - September 4, 2009). The check will be the balance after payment of any outstanding University obligations (e.g., registration fees, library fines, housing, etc.). Financial aid awards are based on full-time enrollment (12 units undergraduate & credential students and 8 units (500 series) for master students). If you enroll less than full-time, your awards will be automatically adjusted.
If you meet all of the following conditions, a check will be mailed to your home address during the first week of classes. If you:
- do not have any university holds.
- are not conditionally admitted to CSUDH.
- have submitted all required documents to the office by August 12, 2009.
REMINDER: Checks will continue to be mailed each week during the semester. If you receive a check and then decide to withdraw from the University or drop units, you will be required to repay all or part of the financial aid received. DO NOT CASH YOUR CHECK! Return the uncashed check to the Financial Aid Office immediately.

Students who attended Summer Session 2009
If you attended summer session, your Fall 2009 financial aid disbursement may be delayed. The office is required to review academic progress at the end of the academic year. We anticipate our review will be completed by Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Ineligible students will be promptly notified by e-mail of their financial aid status. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Direct Loan Disclosure Statement
If you plan to borrow a Federal Direct Loan, you will receive a Disclosure Statement from the Direct Loan Servicing Center.
Please Note: The Anticipated Disbursement date is NOT the date your Direct Loan proceeds will be available to you. Financial aid is disbursed during the first week of classes.
