CSU System Scholarships

Awarded to students enrolled at select CSU campuses, including CSUDH.

Many of these scholarships rotate among the 23 CSU campuses, changing the distribution from year to year and opening scholarship opportunities to a greater number of CSU students.


Glenn and Dorothy Dumke Fellowship

Description One fellowship awarded each year to CSU graduate student at any area campus who is pursuing studies in public policy, American history, economics, archival management or government.
Amount $1,000
Requirements Must be a graduate student at any area CSU campus. Must be pursuing graduate studies in the fields of public policy, American history, economics, archival management or government.
How To Apply To be considered for the scholarship, students must download and complete the Application Information form and submit ALL other required documents noted on the scholarship summary document.
Deadline Submit complete application package to the Financial Aid Office by April 2, 2012

Nathaniel R. and Valerie Dumont Scholarship

Description Six scholarships awarded to CSU students, particularly those with visual and physical impairments.
Amount $4,000
Requirements Preference is given to students with visual and physical impairments as well as financial need.
How To Apply To be considered for the scholarship, students must download and complete the Application Information form and submit ALL other required documents noted on the scholarship summary document.
Deadline Submit complete application package to the Financial Aid Office by April 2, 2012

William Randolph Hearst/CSU Trustees' Award For Outstanding Achievement

Description Awarded to 19 CSU students who have demonstrated financial need and other merits.
Amount $3,000 - $6,000
Requirements Demonstrated financial need, superior academic performance, community service and personal achievements.
How To Apply To be considered for the scholarship, students must download and complete the Application Information form and submit ALL other required documents noted on the scholarship summary document.
Deadline Submit complete application package to the Financial Aid Office by March 14, 2012

California Society of Municipal Finance Officers Robert M. Odell Endowed Scholarship in Public Administration

Description Four scholarships awarded on a rotational basis to 16 CSU campuses.
Amount $1,600
Requirements Good academic standing. Minimum of 3.0 GPA. Currently enrolled as full-time, upper division undergraduate or graduate student. Must be pursuing studies in the field of public administration. Strong consideration will be given to Public Administration majors specializing in Finance, and first-generation college students.

Wilson C. Riles Education Scholarship

Description Awarded to first-generation college students enrolled in a CSU teaching credential program.
Amount $1,000
Requirements First-generation college student. Minimum of 3.0 GPA. Currently enrolled as a full-time student enrolled in a CSU teaching credential program.

Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students

Description Awarded to CSU undergraduate or graduate students in any major field, who are declared visually impaired.
Amount $5,000
Requirements Must be declared visually impaired and be currently enrolled as a full-time CSU student. Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
How To Apply To be considered for the scholarship, students must download and complete the Application Information form and submit ALL other required documents noted on the scholarship summary document.
