$2,000 BP Scholarship

Offered in partnership with British Petroleum, the BP Scholarship Program awards $2,000 annually to five high school graduates and/or community college transfer students from Carson, Long Beach or Wilmington. Renewable yearly, the BP Scholarship is available to full-time students who maintain a 3.0 GPA, and who pursue a degree in one of the following areas:

Chemistry
Physics
Mathematics
Business Administration
Environmental Studies

$3,000 CSU/Edison Transfer Scholarship

Developed in partnership with Edison International, this Scholarship Program awards $3,000 annually to qualified community college transfer students with a minimum 2.0 GPA, who plan to pursue a degree in on of the following areas*:

Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Geology
Engineering
Civil
Electrical
Computer
Chemical or Mechanical
Ecological Biology
Technology
Materials Science
Computer Science Information Systems

*Students planning to pursue health professions or pre-medicine are not eligible.

First-generation college and low-income students, and students active in community service or volunteer programs, are given first consideration. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled at least half time while at CSUDH to be considered for scholarship renewal. Half-time students may be eligible for a partial award.
