Checklist for International Students

1. Complete Application

To expedite your application process, you can apply and pay the $55 USD application fee online at CSUMentor.

If you need an application mailed to you, please contact us let us know.

2. Send Your Application Fee to the Cashier's Office

If you did not pay online though CSUMentor, please send a $55 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee payable to "CSU Dominguez Hills" and send it to:

Important: Include the following information on your check: name of student, student's date of birth, and/or the application confirmation number (sent with your email confirmation when you successfully complete and submit your online application).

3. Send Your Dates of Entrance Exams to the Admissions Office

Not all applicants are required to send this to us. Click here for more information.

4. Send Your TOEFL Score to the Admissions Office

Click here for more information about the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score.

5. Send Your Completed Affidavit of Financial Support for International Students to the Admissions Office

We must have a completed Affidavit documenting a minimum of $30,000 available per year in the student's application file before a form I-20 can be issued. Click here for more information.

6. Have Your Official Academic Records Sent to the Admissions Office

This includes transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, diplomas, and degrees. Please provide official English translations of all supporting educational documentation if not in English. Send to the Admissions Office (address in Step 1 above).

7. Send Your Course Descriptions/Syllabi to the Admissions Office

If required. Official course descriptions/syllabi must be provided in English if applicant is transferring post-secondary courses to CSUDH.

8. Send a Copy of Your I-94 (both sides) and Copy of Current Form I-20 (pages 1-2) to the Admissions Office

International students who apply from within the USA need to mail the Admissions Office a copy of their F-1 visa stamp, I-94 card and current form I-20. This is only required if you are a transfer F-1 visa international student from a college or university in the U.S.

9. Complete Housing Application if you are planning to live on campus

A separate $30 (U.S) check payable to "CSUDH Housing" along with a copy of your Housing Application should be sent to: CSUDH University Housing, P.O. Box 6228, Carson, CA 90746-6228. Be sure to include the name of the student on the check.

Application Deadlines for Future International Students

  • Spring 2010 Term: The California State University will not be accepting applications for admission to the Spring 2010 term.
  • Fall 2010 Term: The application filing period for Fall 2010 is October 1 - November 30, 2009.
