Forensics

On behalf of the students who compete as members of the team each year, welcome to Toro Forensics-- an
instructionally related function of the Speech minor in the Theatre Arts department.

Forensics is an activity which allows Dominguez Hills students to engage in Public Speaking and Oral
Interpretation competition. The team competes at tournaments throughout southern California during the
Forensics season, which runs from late September through March. The Forensics team tries to take deserving
students to an appropriate national tournament every year when students have met team requirements.

Because of the enormous personal, educational, and professional benefits that students gain from interacting
with and competing against students from other backgrounds, Forensics has become an intricate part of almost
every institution of "Higher Learning" in the nation.

The team is currently lead by two-time national Forensics champion Donis Leonard who strongly encourages
theatre majors and minors to compete as well.Their tournament experiences will have given them a broader
knowledge of plays, further exploration of their acting skills, and the competitive edge they will need for auditioning
in professional theatre, film, and television. Join Toro Forensics Today!!!
