Theatre Programs for Future Teachers Our program at Theatre Arts provides future teachers with a tool that not many instructors can claim to use - drama for learning! In our Theatre Arts Option for English Majors and in our Liberal Studies Concentration in Theatre, students learn how to help their future students by using pantomime, theatre games, improvisation, storytelling, and masks and puppets. These techniques are helpful for learning social, creative, communication and problem solving skills, as well as reinforcing learning in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We help you to learn how to help your students express themselves, and learn about their world in the process. English Majors also look at the skill of Playwriting and contemporary theatre, so that they might provide instruction at the secondary level on areas of Production, History, and Drama Literature: English Major - Theatre Arts Option (15 units) Required Courses (12 units) THE 337.
