Cal State Dominguez Hills softball head coach Jim Maier, his
assistant coaches and members of the Toros softball team were the
marquee participants at the RBI Clinic, conducted on an adjacent
field by the Los Angeles Coliseum, in downtown Los Angeles. The
event exposed high school student-athletes to softball at
different levels.

contingent from nearly all Cal State Dominguez Hills athletic
teams made its annual visit to the Harbor-UCLA Hospital Thursday
afternoon and received much more in return than the dozens of

Kids Foundation Team Up to Assist Local Youth
With an invitation from the Dig 4 Kids Foundation, the 2006 CSUDH
womens volleyball team took time out of practice to visit
two Carson schools. During the time spent with 5th graders, the
Toros spoke to them about the value of an education and pursing
their dreams. Later, the team met with the Carson HS volleyball
team and talked about using sports as a tool to help them reach

Telemundo Experiencia Deportiva
Toros student-athletes from mens and womens
basketball and mens soccer teamed up to lend a helping hand
(and foot) at the inaugural Telemundo Experiencia Deportiva
in Huntington Park on May 7, holding mini-clinics and providing

The Cal State Dominguez Hills Mens Soccer team took time
out of its spring workouts to visit Caldwell Street Elementary
School on April 27, joining community members as part of the
schools College Career Day.

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center on December 7, distributing gifts and
