Legendary CSUDH Golf Coach Dr. John Johnson Honored

CARSON, Calif.--This past weekend at the 52nd Southern California Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, legendary Cal State Dominguez Hill golf coach Dr. John Johnson was honored for his service to collegiate golf.

Dr. Johnson, affectionately known as "Dr. J," was honored with a beautiful crystal trophy in appreciated for his 33 years of tireless service and leadership to the College Golf Coaches and Players of Southern California. Dr. Johnson's extraordinary efforts has earned him the highest respect and admiration in the Southern California golf community.

Dr. Johnson, the first CSUDH athletic director in 1968, began the golf program that same year and has since served as the head coach continuously since.
