LA MIRADA, Calif.--The Toros could not come
back from a six-run deficit early as the team dropped a 10-9
baseball decision against Biola University in La Mirada today.
Down 10-6 going into the ninth inning, CSUDH
plated three runs to make it interesting highlighted by a Tony
Marquez two-run double but that was as close as they would get.
Damien Lopez and Joe Gevas each homered in the
game for the Toros. Lopez' was a 2-run shot in the second while
Gevas' was a solo bomb. RHP Ramon Mata suffered the loss allowing
six runs.
CSUDH, now 16-12-1, will play their first game
at their new temporary park on Friday at LA Southwest College
hosting San Francisco State for a four-game series. First pitch is
set for 2:30 p.m.
