Toros Drop Two at CSUB's Mt. Dew Softball Tournament

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. — On top of their game Friday with two wins, Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday experienced the other side, losing two one-run heartbreakers at Cal State Bakersfield's Mt. Dew Invitational. The Toros lost to Chico State 1-0 in the seventh inning, then lost to the host Roadrunners, 2-1.

Chico (28–22) earned the top seed in Sunday’s championship bracket and will face the winner of a play–in game between San Francisco State and Hawaii–Hilo in the quarterfinals. The other quarterfinal pairings will pit No. 2 seed Cal State Bakersfield (33–21) against Cal State San Bernardino (29–27–2); Western New Mexico (38–9) battles Cal State Stanislaus (28–32); while UC San Diego (29–22) meets Cal State Dominguez Hills (31–20).
