Broncos, Toros Split

POMONA -- Cal Poly Pomona's baseball team split a pair of games with Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday at Scolinos Field. The Toros struck first, winning the opener 7-6. But the Broncos bounced right back, relying on strong pitching to take the late game 6-2. Righty Chris Sotro (Sr., Upland, Upland HS) gave up only 1 earned run in 6 2/3 innings. The Broncos (15-10-1, 12-7,1) took three of four games from the Toros in the weekend series. |
