Carson, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills
freshman Miguel Saucedo (Culver City, CA/Culver City HS)
tied for 76th place with a 17-over 161 over the first two rounds
as day one of the Buzzini/Cal State Stanislaus Invitational came
to a close this afternoon. As a team, the Toros find themselves in
19th place out of 19 schools competing.
Individually, Cal State Bakersfield's D.J.
Fernando fired a 2-under 70 in round one, and followed that with a
1-under 71 to take a 1-stroke lead over CS Stanislaus' Matt
Hollinsead and Notre Dame de Namur's Dean Henry, who are tied for
2nd place at one stroke back.
As a team, the Warriors lead the 'Runners by 10
strokes as the third and final round resumes tomorrow morning.
Other CSUDH results are: Chris Whitaker, 95th
(91, 90, 181), Matt Giamberdino, 96th (93, 89, 182), Shaun
Vickers, 97th (90, 94, 184).
